It was for someone else…
Yes, that’s correct. My first ever blog was written for someone else, and it’s still popular today. It was for Watertight Marketing, and possibly when the company was called Clear-Thought Consulting (before it rebranded).
It was purposely written as what we now call a piece of ‘Invitation Information’. Content that invites someone to read more or take an action, like download something.
What was in it?
It was a ‘How To’ and it was specifically designed around equipping someone to have an informed conversation with a marketing provider. We tried to dispel all the jargon and myth, and give some really clear advice on how to write a brief so as to get what you want.
- Gives background
- Clarifies objectives
- Lists deliverables
- Details mandatories
- Says what you don’t want
It’s still live now, but as a blog on the Watertight Website entitled ‘How to write a marketing brief in 10 simple steps‘.
